ACB Detects ₹5.05 Crore Assets in Disproportionate Assets Case Against Suspended Tahsildar and Joint Sub-Registrar

ACB detected assets worth ₹5.05 crore during searches against suspended Tahsildar and Joint Sub-Registrar Thummakomma Sucharita. The assets include land, flats, plots, cash, vehicles, jewellery, and bank balances.

Hyderabad: A woman officer has come under the spotlight in a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case in Telangana after the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) detected assets worth ₹5.05 crore during searches conducted against suspended Tahsildar and Joint Sub-Registrar Thummakomma Sucharita.

According to the ACB, Disproportionate Assets cases in Telangana have largely been dominated by male officials. However, in this case, a woman officer is at the center of the investigation. The searches led to the identification of agricultural land, flats, plots, cash, vehicles, jewellery, and bank balances. The case remains under investigation.

Assets Identified by ACB During Searches

The Anti-Corruption Bureau identified the following assets during searches conducted against Thummakomma Sucharita:

Immovable Properties

  • 2.17 acres of agricultural land at Damarakunta village, Siddipet district
  • 3 flats in Hyderabad
  • 2 plots located in Keesara village and Khanamet village

Cash and Bank Balances Detected

The ACB reported the following financial assets:

  • ₹12 lakh cash
  • Bank balances of around ₹38 lakh

Vehicles Found During Searches

The searches also revealed ownership of:

  • One Volkswagen car
  • One Hyundai Creta car

Gold and Diamond Jewellery Worth ₹1.20 Crore

According to the ACB, gold and diamond jewellery valued at approximately:

  • ₹1.20 crore

was identified during the searches.

Total Assets Detected at ₹5.05 Crore

The Anti-Corruption Bureau stated that the total assets detected during the searches amounted to:

  • ₹5.05 crore

The agency further noted that the market value of the immovable properties is likely to be substantially higher than the documented value.

ACB Says Property Value May Be Much Higher

In its assessment, the ACB said that while the documented value of the assets stands at ₹5.05 crore, the actual market value of the immovable properties is likely to be significantly higher.

The agency has not disclosed any revised valuation and the matter remains under investigation.
