CM Revanth Reddy Meets National SC Commission Chairman, Highlights Education Reforms and SC Welfare in Telangana

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met NCSC Chairman Kishor Makwana and highlighted education reforms, YIIRS, Telangana Public Schools, and Scheduled Caste welfare initiatives.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met National Scheduled Castes Commission (NCSC) Chairman Kishor Makwana at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan and briefed the Commission on the state’s education reforms and welfare initiatives for Scheduled Castes. The meeting was attended by members of the Commission, ministers, senior government officials, and top state officials.

National Scheduled Castes Commission (NCSC) Chairman Kishor Makwana paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

The meeting was held at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan, where the Chairman was accompanied by members of the National SC Commission.

CM Explains Education Reforms to NCSC

During the meeting, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy gave a detailed presentation to the NCSC representatives on the education reforms being implemented by the Telangana Government.

He said the state has taken major steps to eliminate caste discrimination among students.

Young India Integrated Residential Schools Underway

The Chief Minister said the government is constructing Young India Integrated Residential Schools (YIIRS) on 25 acres in every Assembly constituency.

He stated that the government is making efforts to make these schools available from the next academic year.

Telangana Public Schools from Nursery to Class 12

The Chief Minister said the government has established Telangana Public Schools with the objective of providing education from Nursery to Class 12.

He also informed the Commission that:

  • Students are being provided breakfast and lunch in schools.
  • The government has decided to provide transport facilities for students.
  • Initially, as many Telangana Public Schools as possible will be opened in the Core Urban Region.

SC Welfare and Sub-Categorisation

The Chief Minister told the Commission that the Telangana Government is providing more opportunities to Scheduled Castes than their share of the population.

He said Scheduled Castes have been given opportunities in politics and other key sectors.

He also informed the Commission that the sub-categorisation of Scheduled Castes has been completed and is being implemented in the state.

CM Seeks Greater Central Support

During the meeting, the Chief Minister requested the Central Government to extend the necessary assistance and cooperation for the development of Scheduled Castes in Telangana.

Chief Minister A.
