Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements for the 2nd BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group Meeting, which is scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on August 4 and 5. During the review meeting at the Secretariat, he directed all departments to ensure seamless coordination, foolproof security, efficient logistics and timely completion of preparations for the prestigious international event, which will host around 40 international delegates from 11 BRICS member countries and nearly 40 senior officials from the Government of India.

Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju Reviews BRICS Meeting Preparations
Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju chaired a review meeting at the Secretariat to assess preparations for the 2nd BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group Meeting.
The meeting focused on ensuring seamless coordination among various departments for the successful conduct of the international event.
Senior officials of the Government of Telangana and representatives of the Government of India attended the review meeting.
Around 40 International Delegates from 11 BRICS Countries to Attend
The 2nd BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group Meeting is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad on August 4 and 5.
The event will bring together:
- Around 40 international delegates
- Representatives from 11 BRICS member countries
- Nearly 40 senior officials from the Government of India
The participants will take part in deliberations during the two-day meeting.
DoPT Joint Secretary Seeks State Government Support
During the review meeting, Sushil Kumar Patel, Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, delivered a detailed presentation on the event.
He outlined the support required from the State Government and requested assistance in the following areas:
- Security arrangements
- Sanitation
- Health and emergency medical services
- Transportation
- Protocol
- Accommodation
- Venue management
- Other logistical requirements
He said these arrangements were necessary to ensure the smooth conduct of the meeting.
CS Directs Departments to Ensure Foolproof Arrangements
Reviewing the preparations, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju instructed all concerned departments to work in close coordination and complete comprehensive arrangements well in advance.
He directed officials to ensure:
- Foolproof security
- Efficient transport and traffic management
- High standards of sanitation and cleanliness
- Adequate medical facilities
- Uninterrupted civic services
- Seamless coordination among all agencies involved
Hyderabad’s Global Reputation Must Be Upheld
The Chief Secretary said Hyderabad has earned a global reputation for successfully hosting major international conferences and summits.
He stressed that every effort should be made to uphold this reputation during the 2nd BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group Meeting.
He also directed officials to closely coordinate with the Government of India and complete all preparations within the stipulated timelines.
Telangana Assures Full Support
Assuring full support from the State Government, Sanjay Jaju said Telangana would extend complete cooperation to the Government of India in organising the event.
He said the State Government would ensure that all necessary arrangements are made for the comfort, safety and convenience of the delegates.
