Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the redeveloped Hi-Tech City Railway Station in Hyderabad through video conference on July 17. The station has been upgraded with world-class passenger amenities at a cost of ₹26 crore under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. South Central Railway officials said the redevelopment is aimed at improving passenger convenience and supporting Hyderabad’s rapidly growing IT corridor, while forming part of a larger initiative to modernise 40 railway stations in Telangana at an investment of more than ₹2,000 crore.

Hi-Tech City Railway Station Redeveloped at ₹26 Crore
The Hi-Tech City Railway Station has been redeveloped with modern infrastructure and passenger-friendly facilities under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
According to South Central Railway officials, the project was completed at a cost of ₹26 crore and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conference on July 17.
Modern Passenger Amenities Added
The upgraded railway station now includes several new facilities designed to improve passenger comfort and accessibility.
The new amenities include:
- 12-metre-wide Foot Over Bridge
- Lifts
- Escalators
- Modern station façade
- New portico
- Passenger-friendly signage
- Improved commuter facilities
Officials said these improvements will provide seamless connectivity and a better travel experience for commuters.
Part of Telangana Railway Modernisation Drive
Addressing a press conference at Hi-Tech City Railway Station, South Central Railway officials said the station has been designed to support Hyderabad’s rapidly expanding IT corridor.
The redevelopment is part of a larger railway infrastructure initiative under which 40 railway stations across Telangana are being modernised with an investment of more than ₹2,000 crore.
Officials added that Begumpet, Warangal and Karimnagar railway stations have already been inaugurated under the programme.
