Arrangements for Telangana Formation Day celebrations in full swing

Preparations are in full swing for the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations, which will be held on June 2.

Hyderabad: Preparations are in full swing for the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations, which will be held on June 2.

Various Departments have made large-scale arrangements at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad for the event, which will be attended by the Chief Minister, State Ministers, Public Representatives, and other dignitaries.

In the morning, the Chief Minister will participate in various programs at the Secunderabad Parade Ground after paying floral tributes to the Martyrs’ Stupa at Gun Park, official sources said on Wednesday.

About 20,000 people are expected to attend the program, and large numbers of shamianas are being set up. Given the summer heat, precautionary measures are being taken to ensure the comfort of attendees and dignitaries. Special medical camps are being established on the premises of the parade grounds, and facilities for drinking water and proper toilets are being arranged. Additionally, LED screens and live broadcasts of the program are being organized under the auspices of the Information and Public Relations Department.

On the evening of June 2, various cultural programs, including a carnival, fireworks, a laser show, and food and gaming stalls, will be organized on Tank Bund. The Chief Minister, Ministers, and other dignitaries will attend these cultural programs. The carnival will feature performances by various cultural troupes from different districts of the state, showcasing scientific, folk, and Deccani cultural programs on the main stage. There will be a march-past with national flags to the tune of “Jaya Jayahe Telangana,” the official anthem of Telangana state.

Approximately 80 stalls are being set up on the Tank Bund. These stalls will include state handicrafts, products made by self-help groups, handloom items, and offerings from many prominent hotels in the city. Gaming shows are being arranged for children; the sources added.
