Lucknow: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of playing with the future of the youth in Uttar Pradesh. While addressing a delegation of youth at the party office, Akhilesh said, “No interest is being taken in resolving the problems of youth. Recruitment process of more than 38 lakh applicants is yet to be completed. SP will raise its voice for the resolution of problems being faced by the youth.” He alleged that so far BJP has deceived the youths by publicising fake advertisements providing lakhs of jobs. “How and when the youth will get jobs, when no investment is made and no industry is set up in UP? BJP does the politics of lies and deceit. It is filling the coffers of the capitalists by snatching the bread of poor,” alleged the SP chief. Akhilesh said the BJP government’s insensitive behaviour towards the applicants was inappropriate and inhumane. “Patience of the youth should not be tested. More than 10 lakh recruitments are pending in the Subordinate Services Selection Commission. It is a matter of future of more than 30 lakh applicants. Since 2018, 1.19 lakh applicants are waiting for the recruitment exam for Junior Engineer,” he added. UNI AB RJ
