BRS govt works to make Telangana mark visible in all sectors: Harish Rao
Under Rythu Bandhu, an impressive Rs 73,000 crore has been deposited into farmers' bank accounts, and all pending and new irrigation projects have been completed.
Hyderabad: Telangana Finance and Health Minister T Harish Rao emphasized that the BRS Government worked to make Telangana mark visible in all sectors.
Participating in the “ Meet the Press” program organized by the Telangana Working Journalists Union (TWJU) in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Rao revealed that the BRS Government has successfully fulfilled approximately 90 percent of its election manifesto promises.
To address the needs of the people, the BRS government has implemented several non-election manifesto programs, including Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, Kalayana Lakshmi, KCR Kit, KCR Nutritious Kit, and the provision of pure tapped drinking water to every household.
Under Rythu Bandhu, an impressive Rs 73,000 crore has been deposited into farmers’ bank accounts, and all pending and new irrigation projects have been completed.
Rao attributed the state’s over come from power crises to the vision of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, noting that several states in the country still grapple with power shortages.
Harish Rao expressed confidence that KCR would create history by becoming the Chief Minister of Telangana for the third consecutive term. He highlighted the transformative leadership of KCR, citing the absence of drought or curfew in the state during his ten years in power. Hyderabad, under KCR’s guidance, has evolved into a global city, earning the prestigious Green City International Award.
Highlighting the state’s economic progress, Harish Rao stated that Telangana ranks fifth in terms of wealth, with plans to further increase and distribute wealth. He emphasized special attention to infrastructure development in Hyderabad.
Rao noted significant improvements in healthcare and education during the BRS government’s tenure, with a substantial increase in deliveries in government hospitals and positive changes in state schools under the Mana Uru-Mana Badi scheme. More than a thousand Gurukuls are providing quality education, transforming the education landscape in the state.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the opposition’s lack of agenda, Rao criticized their use of vulgar language against BRS leaders and urged voters to voice their opinions in the polling booths.
He accused the Congress and BJP of prioritizing political interests over the state’s welfare, alleging that the Congress party copied the BRS manifesto. Rao criticized the Congress party for its history of unfulfilled promises.
Rao dismissed allegations made by the Congress party regarding corruption in the Kaleshwaram project as baseless.
