Case Filed Against Bhadrachalam Congress MLA Tellam Venkata Rao’s PA Over Alleged Job Fraud

Bhadrachalam: A case has been registered against Kalyan Kumar, the personal assistant (PA) of Bhadrachalam Congress MLA Tellam Venkata Rao, following allegations that he collected crores of rupees from unemployed individuals by promising government jobs and issuing fake appointment orders.

According to the complaint filed by the alleged victims, Kalyan Kumar reportedly collected around ₹8 crore to ₹10 crore from several job seekers on the promise of securing employment in various government and private-sector organisations.

The complainants alleged that Kumar promised jobs as teachers in agency areas, positions in thermal power plants and employment at ITC paper boards. It is further alleged that amounts of up to ₹30 lakh were collected from individual job seekers.

The victims reportedly approached the police after allegedly realising that the appointment orders issued to them were fake. Based on their complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation into the alleged job scam.

The allegations have also raised questions about the MLA’s response to the matter. According to the claims, the issue had reportedly come to light around seven months ago, but no action was allegedly taken against Kumar at that time.

Meanwhile, police are searching for Kalyan Kumar, who has reportedly been absconding for the past three days. Investigators are working to determine the total amount collected, the number of people allegedly cheated and whether any other individuals were involved in the case.

The police are also expected to examine the alleged appointment orders, financial transactions and other documents as part of the investigation. Further details are awaited.
