Addressing the media, Dipke claimed that he had been warned of “serious consequences” if he refused to join the BJP. He further alleged that anonymous callers had threatened to kill his family members, prompting him to lodge a complaint with the concerned authorities.
Dipke said that intimidating people for expressing differing political views was a matter of serious concern in a democratic country. He urged authorities to investigate the alleged threats and ensure the safety of his family.
He also commented on the reported use of pellet guns against protesters, demanding that Union Home Minister Amit Shah provide a clear explanation to the nation regarding the government’s policy on the use of pellet guns during crowd-control operations.
Dipke called on the Central government to clarify its official position on the deployment of pellet guns, saying the issue required transparency and accountability.
The allegations and his remarks on pellet gun use have sparked fresh political debate.
