CM Revanth terms KCR as expired medicine

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has made serious remarks against former chief minister K Chandrashekar and termed him as an expired medicine.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has made serious remarks against former chief minister K Chandrashekar and termed him as an expired medicine.

In an informal chat with media persons in the Assembly on Thursday, the Chief Minister found fault with KCR for not attending the Assembly session and said that the BRS leader was unable to digest the loss of power in the recent Assembly elections.

“KCR has skipped the Assembly session as well as the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC). One can understand his sincerity and commitment as the leader of the Opposition towards the people,” Revanth Reddy said.

Responding to the reports that BRS MLA Harish Rao has been denied attending the BAC meeting, the Chief Minister said the BRS party has given the names of two MLAs- KCR and Kadiyam Srihari for attending the BAC meeting. However, only Srihari was allowed as KCR was absent. The Assembly Speaker will take a decision whether to allow other MLA to replace KCR or not, Revanth Reddy disclosed.

“I want KCR to come to the Assembly sessions. He should fulfill his responsibility as the leader of the Opposition,” the Chief Minister said.

He stated that the State government is moving ahead with a procedure on the issues of TSPSC and Kaleswaram project and reminded that the hanging of terrorist Kasab has happened with the procedure.

Responding to the development on the change of BRSLP office, the Chief Minister said the decision was solely taken by the Assembly Speaker.

He said the State government will pass a resolution on the caste census in the ongoing Assembly sessions and the Speaker can extend the sessions of the House if deemed necessary.

The Chief Minister further stated that the previous BRS government had handed over the irrigation projects to Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) and alleged that even though Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy occupied the Nagarjuna Sagar with the police, KCR didn’t take any step to protect the rights of Telangana State.

“Even though 12 TMCs of water was taken to Andhra Pradesh every day, the former chief minister failed to stop drawing water from the Krishna River, Revanth Reddy  criticised.             Responding to the remarks made by YSR Congress MP  Vijayasai Reddy who alleged that Congress government in Telangana would be toppled soon, Revanth Reddy said that Vijayasai Reddy is a non-serious politician and there is no need to pay attention to such people.
