CS lambasts Dir PH for No Ration-No Pension if not Vaccinated Remarks

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Telangana govt Somesh Kumar has became serious on the Director of Public Health, Dr. G. Srinivas Rao on the statement made him that “No Ration – No Pension” to those who have not taken two doses of coronavirus vaccine. 

According to the sources, the Chief Secretary has called the Director of Public Health to the Secretariat  and lambasted him saying who are you to make statement to stop the Ration and Pension if people not taking vaccine. He asked him whether it is proper to say when the electioneering for the Huzurabad by-elections is on.

However, the Director of Public Health has withdrawn his statement in anger, said the source. 

Earlier the Director Public Health, Dr. G. Srinivas Rao has informed that there will be no ration and no pension to the people who have not taken the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine. This will come into effect from November 1.

Informing to press persons, the Director of Public health said that this decision has been taken in the wake of government’s directions to complete 100 per cent vaccination by the end of December. 

It may be recalled that earlier, the State Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar also said that Telangana will achieve 100 percent vaccination of the population above 18 years in next one month.

The target will be achieved if 3 to 4 lakh people are vaccinated every day. To expedite the vaccination in the state, the government will launch a mega vaccination centre that would provide vaccines from 7 am to 11 pm every day.
