Hyderabad: BRS party MLA T. Harish Rao today said the Governor’s speech had disappointed the people who are waiting for the implementation of the six promises made by the State government.
He said there was no clarity on the implementation of election promises. He said the Governor’s speech did not give confidence to the people about their future.
He, along with party MLAs Kaushik Reddy, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy and Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, spoke at the assembly’s media point.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the Governor did not mention in her speech when Rs. 2,500 pensions would be given to women under the Mahalaxmi scheme. “There is not a single word on giving bonus to the farmers. Not a word has been said on the development of villages and towns.
There was no mention of giving Rs 4,000 to the unemployed. They only talked about a gas cylinder and 200 units of electricity per month. There is no mention of the issues of the manifesto anywhere. The Congress government has tarnished the image of the Assembly and the Governor,” he added.
He alleged that after the first day of the Prajavani program, the CM’s face was exposed and added that outsourcing employees were taking applications now,” he claimed. He said during the BRS regime, the Collectors used to take applications from the people. He said the Governor’s speech did not mention about the Aarogyasri scheme because the implementation of the scheme was flawed.
He said the Congress government had done grave injustice to the farmers. He said the four promises made to the farmers were not being implemented by the State government. “Why the promises made were not being kept?” he asked.
Stating that in 100 days of the deadline of the ruling party, 60 days have been completed and added that there were only 40 days left to fulfil all the six guarantees. Stating that in the next 10 days, the election code will come, he alleged that the State government was looking for excuses to postpone the implementation of the promises that have been extended till then.
“If the election code comes, how will the promises be implemented? If there was sincerity, the Governor’s speech would have been about the implementation of the assurances,” he added.
