Hyderabad: Exorcist makes degree student walk on burning coal; held
The man who claimed to be an exorcist informed the parents that their daughter was possessed by evil spirits. He said he would do a ritual to heal her which involved making her walk on burning coal.
Hyderabad: Police arrested an exorcist who allegedly made a 19-year-old girl to walk and stand on the burning coal. The girl with burns has been hospitalized.
The person claiming to be an exorcist made the girls walk and stand on burning coal to cure her of mental illness. The incident occurred in Viqarabad district of Telangana. PTI reported.
The girl is a first year degree student. She was reportedly behaving abnormally. Her parents took her to the exorcist last week on the advice of their relatives.

Girl’s parents later lodged a complaint with the police after she suffered from burns. They alleged that while walking on the coal, she fell even as the man made her stand on it.
While the girl was shifted to a hospital, police registered a case against the exorcist and arrested him.
