Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a groom died just an hour before his Nikah at his residence in Asif Nagar.
Syed Wajid Ali (32), son of Mr. Syed Muhammad Shaukat Ali, whose engagement was held yesterday and the Nikah was scheduled today died at his residence in Asif Nagar due to heart attack.
Wajid is survived by his mother, four brothers and three sisters.
Needless to say, the wedding festivities turned into mourning after the sudden death of the bridegroom.
As reported by district reporter Munsif Hafiz Mohammod Faseehuddin, the youth used to live in Medak Town a few years ago.
Funeral prayer will be performed tomorrow after Zohr prayer at Masjid-e-Abu-Bakr, Jhirra, Asif Nagar. Burial will take place in the adjacent graveyard.
