Hyderabad Rains: Cinema Hall Flooded at Dilsukhnagar
Shiva Ganga Theatre at Gaddiannaram in Dilsukhnagar was flooded with rainwater which led to the collapse of a compound wall.
Hyderabad: Heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunder lashed parts of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Medchal-Malkajgiri and Rangareddy districts yesterday night, Shiva Ganga Theatre at Gaddiannaram in Dilsukhnagar was flooded with rainwater which led to the collapse of a compound wall. Almost 50 parked vehicles were damaged in the mishap. However, no person has been injured in the mishap.
The people who parked their bike went into the theatre to watch the movie and were shocked when they came outside and noticed their bikes getting crushed under the collapsed wall. Meanwhile, all the seats in the theatre were submerged after rainwater entered the cinema hall
Today morning, the GHMC officials inspected the spot and spoke to the movie theatre management and inquired about the loss. They removed the debris from the wall with earth movers and removed the vehicles.
