No More Long Queues! Hyderabad Sets New Benchmark with 15-Minute Property Registrations
Buyers and sellers now complete the documentation of immovable property within 10 to 15 minutes, and the registered documents are handed over in another 15–20 minutes—eliminating long waiting times at sub-registrar offices.
Hyderabad: With the expansion of the slot booking system across the Registration Department, the real estate registration process in Hyderabad has become faster and more efficient. Buyers and sellers now complete the documentation of immovable property within 10 to 15 minutes, and the registered documents are handed over in another 15–20 minutes—eliminating long waiting times at sub-registrar offices.

Slot Booking Rolled Out in 12 More Sub-Registrar Offices
Starting Monday, the slot booking system was experimentally launched in 12 more sub-registrar offices including Farrukhnagar, Shadnagar, Maheshwaram, Vanasthalipuram, Serilingampally, Uppal, Ghatkesar, Narapalli, and Malkajgiri. These additions join the previously implemented system in offices like Azampura, Chikkadapalli, Medchal RO, Qutbullapur, Vallabhnagar, Shamshabad, Saroornagar, and Champapet.
Efficient and Hassle-Free Registrations
Each day, 48 to 144 slots are available depending on the office’s workload. For instance, 48 slots are allotted in offices within Greater Hyderabad, while high-demand offices can handle up to 144 slots. Additionally, five emergency ‘walk-in’ slots between 5 PM and 6 PM are reserved for document holders without prior appointments.
Citizens Welcome the Change
Buyers have expressed satisfaction with the improved process. Santosh Kumar Reddy from Uppal shared, “The registration was done in 10 minutes, and we received the documents within half an hour. It was smooth and time-saving.” Similarly, a visitor to the Kapra sub-registrar office noted that earlier the process took an entire day and documents were delivered after 2–3 days, but now everything is done within 15 minutes.
A Step Towards Transparent and Time-Saving Governance
With the slot booking system proving effective, the Registration Department aims to bring further reforms that streamline processes and increase transparency for citizens engaging in property transactions. The new system reflects a significant step forward in the digitization and modernization of public services in Telangana.
