Raju, a rising star from Sreenidhi International School, has clinched a remarkable achievement at the recent Asian Powerlifting Championship held in Kyrgyzstan from 8th to 10th March. The 17-year-old powerlifter not only emerged as the youngest participant hailing from Telangana but also showcased an outstanding performance, securing three gold medals in various categories.
Son of Aravind Ganapathiraju, Tanush displayed sheer determination and prowess in the youth category, setting a new standard in powerlifting. His exceptional strength and technique led him to achieve a total lift of 275 kilograms, solidifying his position as one of the best lifters in his age group.
Tanush’s remarkable feat included gold medals in three distinct disciplines:
- Bench Press: Tanush exhibited unparalleled strength by lifting an impressive 65 kilograms, securing the gold medal in the bench press category.
- Deadlift: Demonstrating his exceptional power and technique, Tanush effortlessly lifted 125 kilograms, earning him the gold medal in the deadlift category.
- Squat: Tanush’s prowess extended to the squat category, where he showcased his strength by lifting 85 kilograms, clinching yet another gold medal.
