KIMS Fertility IVF Centre Inaugurated in Visakhapatnam to Provide Advanced Reproductive Care
KIMS Hospitals has launched the KIMS Fertility IVF Centre at MVP Colony in Visakhapatnam, bringing advanced fertility and reproductive healthcare services closer to couples across north coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Visakhapatnam: KIMS Hospitals has launched the KIMS Fertility IVF Centre at MVP Colony in Visakhapatnam, bringing advanced fertility and reproductive healthcare services closer to couples across north coastal Andhra Pradesh.
The facility was inaugurated on Sunday by Ganta Srinivasa Rao, MLA, who attended the event as the chief guest. The centre is the fifth KIMS Fertility Centre across the two Telugu states, according to the hospital.
Speaking at the inauguration, Ganta Srinivasa Rao said the establishment of a fertility centre equipped with international-standard facilities was a significant development for Visakhapatnam and the surrounding region. He noted that advanced fertility services were previously concentrated largely in metropolitan cities and encouraged couples facing infertility challenges to make use of specialised care available locally.
Dr. Swetha Bollineni, Medical Director of KIMS Fertility IVF Centre, highlighted the growing importance of reproductive healthcare in Andhra Pradesh. She said the state’s fertility rate has fallen below the replacement level of 2.1, creating longer-term demographic concerns, including population ageing and a shrinking working-age population.
Dr. Swetha said KIMS Fertility aims to support the state’s vision of a healthier and more prosperous future by providing couples with advanced fertility treatment, fertility preservation options and informed reproductive choices.
Sudhaker Jadhav, Chief Operating Officer, said infertility treatment cannot follow a one-size-fits-all approach, as every couple may have different medical and reproductive needs. He stressed the importance of comprehensive evaluation and personalised treatment plans while combining advanced technology with compassionate and individualised care.
Dr. Jyotsna, Senior Consultant and Fertility Specialist, said infertility management requires customised treatment based on the individual circumstances of each couple. Factors including a woman’s age, ovarian reserve, semen quality, previous medical history and associated health conditions are assessed before treatment recommendations are made.

The new centre offers advanced In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) services. Its embryology laboratory is equipped with advanced embryo culture systems, vitrification and cryopreservation facilities. The centre also provides embryo biopsy services for Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) for selected patients.
The facility will provide comprehensive treatment for both female and male infertility, diminished ovarian reserve, recurrent pregnancy loss, fertility preservation and other reproductive health conditions.
Among those present at the inauguration were Visakhapatnam Board Director B. Adwik, Dr. R. Geeta Vandana, MD (Obstetrics and Gynaecology), and KIMS Hospitals doctors, including Fertility Consultant Dr. Deepti.
KIMS Hospitals said the new facility is intended to make advanced fertility services more accessible to people in north Andhra Pradesh and provide couples with comprehensive reproductive healthcare closer to home.
