KTR criticises Telangana Govt’s budget as disappointing

Former minister and BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) expressed disappointment with the budget presented by the Telangana government in the assembly.

Hyderabad: Former minister and BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) expressed disappointment with the budget presented by the Telangana government in the assembly.

KTR shared his criticisms during a meeting of BRS workers in the Sanath Nagar constituency held in Secunderabad on Saturday.

KTR argued that the state requires Rs.1.25 lakh crores for implementing the six guarantees promised by the Congress, but the budget only allocates Rs 53,000 crore.

He voiced his dissatisfaction, stating that CM Revanth Reddy’s approach resembled that of Budder Khan.

KTR found it ironic that Revanth Reddy mentioned the implementation of the six guarantees only if the Congress comes to power at the Centre.

Expressing concern, KTR warned of large-scale protests if free electricity is not provided for 200 units per electricity meter.

He announced plans for a significant gathering in Nalgonda on February 13 to protest against the relinquishment of Telangana’s water rights to the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB).
