KTR urges public to compare BRS Govt’s performance with Congress regime

KTR recalled the severe power and water crises during the Congress regime and emphasized the unprecedented transformation witnessed in Telangana over the past nine and a half years under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister KCR.

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister and BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) appealed to the public to assess the performance of the BRS government in comparison to the Congress, which held power for approximately 65 years.

“What BRS could deliver in six and a half years, Congress couldn’t in six decades,” remarked KTR.
Speaking at a session organized by the Business Network International (BNI) in Hyderabad on Friday, KTR highlighted that prominent personalities like Super Star Rajinikanth and BJP MP Sunny Deol could witness the transformation of Hyderabad, contrasting it with what he perceived as the opposition’s oversight of the city’s development.

KTR recalled the severe power and water crises during the Congress regime and emphasized the unprecedented transformation witnessed in Telangana over the past nine and a half years under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister KCR.

Discussing future plans for the state, KTR outlined the Telangana government’s focus on developing social infrastructure, sporting facilities, education and skilling, healthcare, and fostering entrepreneurship in the next term.

Addressing tourism potential, KTR acknowledged the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the service sector and urged young entrepreneurs to explore avenues like religious tourism, medical tourism, spiritual tourism, health, sports, and wilderness tourism.

“If BRS is voted to power, I will appeal to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to allot me the Tourism Ministry. This sector offers tremendous potential with minimal government investment and many projects executed in public-private partnership mode,” said KTR.

Highlighting the state’s commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises, KTR mentioned the establishment of the Industrial Health Clinic to assist struggling units. He emphasized the importance of road infrastructure and sanitation, quoting Foxconn Chairman Young Liu’s astonishment at the city’s transformation during a meeting with CM KCR.

Discussing the state’s progress, KTR mentioned the establishment of special food processing zones in 16 locations due to a substantial rise in agricultural production, constituting one of the five revolutions the state is currently undergoing.
