Launch of Three Extended Train Services in Andhra Pradesh Region Set for Friday

On the same day, simultaneously, functions will also be held at Renigunta and Narsapur Railway stations to witness the flagging-off programme in the presence of dignitaries and respective Divisional Railway officials.

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) has extended three pairs of train services pertaining to the Andhra Pradesh region to different destinations to provide additional travel facilities and to cater to the needs of the people in the extended portion.

The inaugural special trains for the extended portion will be flagged off by Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Friday at a function to be held at Guntur Railway Station in the presence of public representatives, Guntur Divisional Railway Manager M. Ramakrishnan, and other railway officials, SCR said in a release here on Thursday.

On the same day, simultaneously, functions will also be held at Renigunta and Narsapur Railway stations to witness the flagging-off programme in the presence of dignitaries and respective Divisional Railway officials.

The inaugural special train services include Train No. 02701 Guntur-Vijayawada; Train No. 07225 Narsapur-Vijayawada Express; and Train No. 07295 Renigunta-Kadapa Special.

The extended regular train services are: Train No. 22701/22702 Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada-Vijayawada Uday Express up to Guntur; Train No. 17225/17226 Vijayawada-Hubballi-Vijayawada Amravati Express up to Narsapur; and Train No. 07284/07285 Nandyal-Kadapa-Nandyal Special Train up to Renigunta.

The extensions will come into effect on January 13, 2024.

The train services will provide additional travel facilities to the people of Andhra Pradesh and will have direct train facilities to the farthest destinations.

The Visakhapatnam-Guntur Uday Double-Decker Express consists of AC and non-AC reserved sitting accommodation.

The Narsapur-Hubbali Express train will cater to the reserved segment for both AC and non-AC classes and the unreserved segment for the second general class. This train provides a convenient nighttime journey option and avoids the hardship of changing trains at Vijayawada.

Nandyal-Renigunta Passengers consisting of all unreserved coaches provide direct passenger train facilities to travel to Tirumala and cater to small businessmen, students, vendors, and families.
