Madrasa demolished in Amethi

Amethi (UP): A madrasa was demolished by the Amethi local administration on Monday. The madrasa was allegedly constructed on a piece of land meant for pasture.

District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Mishra said that no education was being provided in this building for the last 2 years.

Superintendent of Police Elamaran G said that the madrasa was constructed illegally on encroached pasture land in Gauriganj area on Tanda-Banda national highway.

For the last 30 years it was running illegally and the case was pending in the court for a long time, SP said. On the order of the court, a joint team of the district administration and the police demolished the seminary.
