Modi resurrects Rahul’s ‘gold from potatoes’ comment

Addressing a public meeting in Barwani district of election-bound Madhya Pradesh, the visiting dignitary averred

Taloon (MP): Heaping sarcasm on Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday took a dig at the former Congress president in the context of an old remark.

Addressing a public meeting in Barwani district of election-bound Madhya Pradesh, the visiting dignitary averred, “The Congress may even promise this state’s electorate that it shall construct a palace of gold for them. However, what kind of precious metal will be brought? The one from potatoes? There is no guarantee. They will later say the structure shall be erected subsequent to gold being brought out from that vegetable.”
