Mysterious sounds from under the ground haunt villagers in Latur

The district officials requested experts from the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism to come to the village to find out the scientific reason and study the strange phenomenon.

Mumbai: Mysterious sounds from under the ground remind the residents of a village in Latur of the story of the popular Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’. These sounds have been coming for a week. According to an official, mysterious underground noises are being heard in Hasuri village of Latur, Maharashtra.

The district officials requested experts from the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism to come to the village to find out the scientific reason and study the strange phenomenon. Hasuri is located 28 kilometers away from Killari, where 9700 people died due to a deadly earthquake in 1993, but since then no earthquake has occurred in the area.

According to local reports, since September 6, loud and mysterious noises have been coming from under the ground, leaving the villagers terrified and confused. Latur District Collector Prithviraj BP visited the village on Tuesday and appealed to the people not to panic. A team of experts from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University of Nanded will visit the village to examine the situation.
