Osmania University Hosts Successful Inter-College Cross Country Championship 2024

Hyderabad: Osmania University witnessed a thrilling display of athleticism as the Inter-College Cross Country Championship for Men and Women unfolded at the University College of Physical Education on the university campus.

The event, meticulously organized by the University College of Physical Education, saw intense competition and remarkable performances from participants.

Women’s Section: 10KM

In the women’s 10KM race, the top performers were:

1. M. Mallika (TSWRDC, Mahendra Hills) – 39:11.72
2. T. Nandini (Tribal Welfare, Medak) – 43:24.5
3. N. Anusha (TSWRDC, Mahendra Hills) – 47:02.4

Team Championship: Women’s

The team championship for women witnessed fierce competition, and the results were as follows:

1. 1st Place: Tribal Welfare College, Medak – 26 Pts
2. 2nd Place: GDC, Begumpet – 46 Pts
3. 3rd Place: St. Ann’s College for Women, Mehdipatnam – 69 Pts

Men’s Section: 10KM

The men’s 10KM race showcased outstanding performances, with the following results:

1. P. Tanush (SP College) – 31:30.3
2. Rohith Reddy (Loyola) – 31:31.6
3. T. Rajesh (Nizam College) – 31:39.6

Team Championship: Men’s

The team championship for men’s category unfolded with great enthusiasm, and the rankings were:

1. 1st Place: University College of PE, Osmania Univ – 55 Points
2. 2nd Place: Siddartha College of PE, Ibrahimpatnam – 57 Points
3. 3rd Place: AV College – 88 Points

The awards ceremony was graced by Prof. V. Satyanaryana, Principal of UCPE, Osmania University, who distributed prizes to the victorious men’s and women’s teams. The event also saw the participation of K. Deepla, Organizing Secretary, Prof. Rajesh Kumar, and Dr. K. Suresh Reddy, along with Inter-College Secretaries Dr. K. Krishna and Dr. V. Deepika Rao.
