Hyderabad: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana on May 10, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao conducted a high-level review meeting on Thursday at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat to assess preparedness.

Officials were directed to ensure coordinated arrangements across departments for security, infrastructure, and public event management. The visit is scheduled to include inauguration of development projects and a public meeting, with preparations currently underway.

High-Level Review Meeting at Secretariat

The review meeting was held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat in Hyderabad.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao reviewed:

  • Preparedness for the Prime Minister’s visit
  • Coordination among all departments
  • Execution of arrangements for events and security

He directed officials to work in close coordination to ensure comprehensive arrangements.

Security, Traffic and Protocol Arrangements for PM Visit

During the Telangana visit on May 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to:

  • Inaugurate several development projects
  • Address a public meeting

The Chief Secretary instructed the Police Department to:

  • Ensure security arrangements
  • Maintain law and order
  • Manage traffic control
  • Implement bandobast arrangements as per Blue Book protocol

Fire, Health and Emergency Services Preparedness

Specific instructions were issued to departments:

  • Fire Services Department to deploy adequate fire tenders at:
    • Begumpet Airport
    • Helipads
    • All event venues
  • Health Department to ensure:
    • Necessary medical facilities

Route Inspection and Infrastructure Readiness

The following departments were directed to inspect and prepare routes:

  • Police Department
  • GHMC
  • Roads & Buildings Department

They were instructed to:

  • Inspect all convoy routes
  • Complete required repairs on a war footing

The Electricity Department was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply in all areas during the visit.
