POCSO Case: Fast Track Court Sentences Laborer to 20 Years’ Rigorous Imprisonment for Kidnapping and Sexual Assault of Minor in Hyderabad

The convict was found guilty of kidnapping and repeatedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old minor girl from Raviryala village in Ranga Reddy district. The court also imposed a ₹20,000 fine and directed payment of ₹1 lakh as victim compensation.

Fast Track Court Convicts Accused in POCSO Case

The judgment was delivered by the Fast Track Special Court at L.B. Nagar in a case registered by Pahadishareef Police in 2020.

The convicted accused has been identified as:

  • Saadangi Venkatesh alias Sadula Venkatesh
  • Age: 25 years
  • Occupation: Labourer

The court found him guilty of kidnapping and repeatedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old minor girl.

Victim Traced During Police Investigation

According to the police, the case began as a missing complaint after the 17-year-old minor girl went missing from her residence on February 10, 2020.

During the investigation, the police traced the victim and established that the accused had kidnapped and repeatedly sexually assaulted her.

Based on the evidence presented before the court, the accused was convicted under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Court Orders Fine and Victim Compensation

In addition to sentencing the convict to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment, the court also ordered:

  • Fine: ₹20,000
  • Victim Compensation: ₹1,00,000
