Hyderabad: Yousuf Ravish, a well-known and respected poet from Hyderabad Deccan, and resident of New Malakpet, breathed his last at the age of 80 this morning. He was the son of the late Mr. Dawood Sahib.
The funeral prayer for Yousuf Ravish will be held at Masjid Mohiuddinunnisa Begum, located near Akbar Towers in Malakpet, immediately after the Friday prayers. The burial will take place in the cemetery adjacent to the mosque.
Yousuf Ravish is survived by his wife, sons Syed Owais (from the Advertising Department at Daily Trust), Syed Idris (employed as a Surveyor in India), Syed Jalil (working at the MS Corporate Office in Mansahib Tank), and one daughter.
He was the brother of noted poet late Mr. Rauf Khalish, calligrapher Urdu academy Mr. Mahmood Saleem, Mr. Syed Munir, former employee of the Waqf Board Syed Mansoor, employee Waqf board Mr. Syed Mumtaz.
