Remove TSPSC chairman Mahender Reddy: MLC Kavitha
BRS party MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has demanded removal of TSPSC chairman M Mahender Reddy in the wake of allegations of corruption levelled against him.
Hyderabad: BRS party MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has demanded removal of TSPSC chairman M Mahender Reddy in the wake of allegations of corruption levelled against him.
She said a judicial inquiry should be conducted into the allegations of corruption against Reddy. “How can a person, who is facing corruption charges do justice to the youth of Telangana,” she asked.
Speaking to media persons at her residence on Thursday, MLC Kavita recalled that the present CM Revanth Reddy was at the forefront of abusing the KCR government then and added that he had also made allegations personally against KCR.
She said Revanth Reddy had abused Mahender Reddy, who was the DGP during the BRS regime, in a language that could not be uttered in the most awful language.
She alleged that a person, who had served as DGP for five years in the BRS government, was appointed as the chairman of TSPSC and added that the Congress, which had criticized KCR for appointing retired officers in their respective posts, was now doing the same thing.
She said Y Rammohan Rao, who has been appointed as a member of TSPSC, was not from Telangana. She demanded an answer from CM Revanth Reddy. “How did the CM, who had said that those in politics would not be appointed as members, appoint Rajani Kumari, who worked in the TDP, as the TSPSC member, she asked.
Alleging that corruption allegations were levelled against Mahender Reddy for allegedly misappropriating Rs.1 lakh crore, she demanded that Mahender Reddy, who is the chairman of TSPSC, should be immediately removed and a judicial inquiry conducted. “We will soon meet the Governor on the issue and submit a memorandum,” she said.
She said the BRS government had upgraded the mini anganwadis along with the recruitment of staff nurses and police constables. She claimed that the ruling party leaders were now taking credit for giving the appointment letters.
She said when people give power, they should do new things and work that is useful to the people. She mocked that the Congress, which had promised to provide two lakh jobs by December this year, had so far notified only 60 new jobs. She said jobs notified by KCR earlier were now being given. She urged the Congress government to stop saying that it was doing things that were not done.
