Hyderabad: Tolichowki witnessed a disturbing incident on Tuesday night when a salesman brutally attacked a man with an iron rod inside a shop. The assault occurred at Vishal Mega Mart, located in Podium Mall, Janakinagar.
The victim, identified as Bilal Khan, had courageously intervened to stop the salesman from verbally abusing another customer.
Accompanied by his brother, Suleman Khan, Bilal had visited the store with the intention of purchasing a T-shirt. However, their shopping experience took an unexpected turn when they witnessed a salesman engaging in a tirade of offensive language towards a fellow customer.
Displaying a commendable sense of justice, Bilal confronted the salesman, urging him to treat others with respect. Regrettably, this act of intervention only served to enrage the salesman further. A heated argument ensued between the two parties, culminating in a shocking act of violence.
According to Sub Inspector A Ganesh Goud of Filmnagar Police Station, “The accused salesman, unable to control his anger, viciously struck Bilal on the head with an iron rod, inflicting severe injuries upon him.”
Following the incident, Bilal was promptly rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Later that night, he approached the local authorities to file a formal complaint. The police have registered a case under Section 324 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and initiated an investigation into the matter.
