Kolkata: Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Saturday met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at her residence here in Kalighat.
After arriving in the city, Salman went to the Chief Minister’s house at Kalighat. Salman’s convoy arrived in front of Kalighat’s house a little after 4 pm on Saturday. Banerjee stood at the door of the house to welcome him.
He was wearing a blue shirt, faded jeans and sunglasses. The Chief Minister was standing in the backyard of the house waiting for ‘Bhaijan’ for some time.
Both posed before the media before entering the CM’s residence for the meeting.
Apart from the party leadership, many Salman fans were also seen in front of his house. They all gathered to see their favourite star.
The surrounding crowd was excited to see the Bollywood superstar. He also waved his hand to the crowd and expressed his love for them.
The chief minister welcomed Salman wearing a cream-coloured suit. Mamata grabbed Salman’s hand as she bowed with folded hands. Then Salman took off his shoes and entered the room.
The Bollywood star was there for about half an hour. The Chief Minister accompanied him to the car. His body language reveals that Salman likes seeing the small garden of Kalighat house.
Salman, who has received multiple death threats in the past, is in Kolkata for his ‘Da-Bangg The Tour Reloaded’ at the city’s East Bengal Club scheduled for 6 pm.
As per reports, the event will also witness performances from top shots like Prabhudeva, Pooja Hegde, Guru Randhawa, Maniesh Paul, Sonakshi Sinha and Jacqueline Fernandez.
