School Games Federation of Telangana Inaugural Programme Held at L.B. Stadium

Hyderabad : The inaugural programme of the 70th School Games Federation of Telangana was held today, September 1, 2026, at L.B. Stadium, Hyderabad, with the enthusiastic participation of nearly 100 schools from across the city.

The programme was graced by Chief Guest Sri Mahesh Kumar Goud, MLC and President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC). International Karate player and Black Belt Sri Anil Kumar Yadav, MP, Rajya Sabha, and Sri Shiv Sena Reddy, Chairman, Sports Authority of Telangana (SAT), were among the prominent guests present on the occasion.

The event was also attended by D.E.O. Hyderabad Sri G.G.F. Vice President Sri Venkatesh, Sri Yadagiri Guru, G.F. Head and Organising Secretary Sri Srinivas Goud, along with DYEOs, DIOs, Headmasters, PETs, RE.Ts, coaches and other officials.

As part of the inaugural ceremony, the dignitaries and students participated in the balloon release ceremony and took the sports oath together. The School Games Federation flag was hoisted, followed by the March Past by participating school teams.

The participating students proudly saluted the distinguished guests during the March Past. The programme reflected the spirit of sportsmanship, discipline, unity and healthy competition among school students.

The inaugural event marked an important beginning for promoting sports and encouraging young athletes to participate actively in school-level games and competitions.
