Telangana has achieved a significant accomplishment by winning five ‘Green Apple Awards’ in the ‘International Beautiful Buildings’ category for the Urban and Real Estate Sector. These awards were presented by ‘The Green Organization,’ an independent non-profit based in London.
The awarded buildings in Telangana include Moazzam Jahi Market (recognized for its excellent restoration and reuse in the heritage category), Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge (acknowledged for its unique design in the bridge category), Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat Building (appreciated for its aesthetically designed office/workspace building category), Integrated Command Control Centre of the State Police (recognized in the unique office category), and Yadagirigutta Temple (commended for its excellent religious structures category).
