Hyderabad: BRS leader and former legislator Balka Suman on Monday voiced concern over the reported insult to Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka during a visit to Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy temple.
After darshan, the temple scholars blessed the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his wife and the ministers. At that moment, Revanth Reddy, Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and and Komati Reddy were seen sitting on pedestals, while Bhatti Vikramarka and Konda Surekha sat on the ground.
Speaking to the media here, Suman criticised the humiliation of Bhatti Vikramarka and Sureka, who are from Scheduled Caste and Backward Class communities respectively, and raised questions about the perceived disrespect before the deity.
Drawing attention to the alleged sidelining of Vikramarka since the Congress government came to power, Suman called for an immediate apology from the Chief Minister. He urged the Congress high command to address the incident promptly and take measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
