Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy emphasised that the state government’s policy is geared towards promoting Telangana’s competitiveness on the global stage, positioning it alongside other rapidly developing nations.
Addressing a conference on Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurial Opportunities organised by CII-Telangana and TDF-USA, here on Wednesday, Reddy asserted that the government is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to investors and entrepreneurs.
Regardless of political affiliations, Reddy acknowledged the consistent efforts of former Chief Ministers, YS Rajashekhar Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu, and KCR, in driving the development of Hyderabad. He pledged that his government would not compromise on the progress of Hyderabad and Telangana State.
The Chief Minister expressed the government’s commitment to uphold positive decisions made by previous administrations for the city’s development, and he affirmed the collaboration with CII to create educational and employment opportunities in Telangana.
Reddy announced plans to develop 64 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) as Skill Development Centers, allocating Rs. 2000 crore for the purpose. Discussions with stakeholders are underway to establish Skill Universities, and the government will issue degree certificates to students undergoing skill development training.
Additionally, the government is poised to establish a Dry Port in Telangana, highlighting the transformation of the previously contested Outer Ring Road (ORR) into a crucial lifeline for Hyderabad.
