Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy attributed delays in the Hyderabad-Ramagundam corridor project to the previous government’s failure to act on key decisions regarding forest lands and defense leases. He made these assertions while inaugurating the foundation laying ceremony for the 18.15 km corridor, including an 11.1 km elevated stretch, estimated at Rs. 2,232 crores.
Reddy asserted that delays stemmed from the non-allocation of forest lands at Vikarabad for a naval station and the extension of lease periods for defense lands at Chandrayangutta. He criticized the previous government’s handling of these matters, contrasting his administration’s proactive approach.
