Hyderabad: The election polling for recognised Singareni trade unions commenced at 0700 hours on Wednesday.

The polling is scheduled to continue until 1700 hours, after which the vote-counting process will commence at 1900 hours. Results will be announced following the completion of the counting. The elections are being conducted through the ballot method, according to official sources.

Preparations have been made for the elections in Singareni, covering six districts—Peddpally, Mancherial, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Bhupalapalli, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Khammam. Eighty-four polling centers and eleven counting centers have been established for the election.

Thirteen trade unions are competing in this election, with 39,775 workers eligible to vote in eleven areas. Srinivas is serving as the Singareni Election Officer, and 700 individuals are actively participating in election duties.
