Telangana govt announces PRC for TSRTC employees with 21 pc fitment

Speaking to the media at Bus Bhavan here on Saturday, he stated that the new fitment would be effective from June 1.
Prabhakar said the RTC would bear a monthly burden of Rs 35 crore with the new fitment, benefiting 53,071 RTC employees financially.
He highlighted that free bus travel was granted to women within 48 hours of the formation of the Congress government in Telangana. Despite facing challenges, RTC employees and workers successfully implemented the Mahalakshmi scheme, providing free travel to 25 crore women in the past three months.
Expressing gratitude to the RTC employees and workers, Prabhakar outlined decisions taken for the welfare of RTC employees. He acknowledged past difficulties in utilizing provident funds and facing challenges with bonds, stating the intention to provide the 2017 PRC in full. He emphasized RTC’s shift towards profit orientation from losses.
During the event, TSRTC Managing Director (MD) VC Sajjanar expressed gratitude on behalf of the employees and announced that approximately 2000 new buses would be available within the next two months.
