Telangana Gymnasts Shine at National Championships, Claiming Multiple Medals

Hyderabad: Telangana’s gymnastic prowess reached new heights as our athletes showcased exceptional performances at the Sr. and Jr. Acrobatics Gymnastics National Championship, as well as the Tumbling Gymnastics National Championship for the year 2023-2024.

Held in Kozhikode, Kerala, from February 16 to 18, 2024, the event witnessed our athletes securing top honors across various categories.

In a remarkable display of skill and determination, our Telangana gymnasts clinched a total of gold, silver, and bronze medals, reaffirming their dominance in the sport. Leading the charge were:

1. A Kumara Swamy & Kuttubuddin Shaik: This dynamic duo secured the silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the men’s pair event in acrobatics, showcasing remarkable coordination and agility.
2. B Sanjeev Kumar, G Bharath Kumar, J Pavan Surya, & B Vinay: The quartet emerged triumphant in the team championship in the tumbling event, capturing the gold medal and demonstrating exceptional teamwork and synchronization.
3. J Pavan Surya: Adding to the glory, Pavan Surya clinched the gold medal in the tumbling individual event, displaying unparalleled skill and mastery in his performance.

The outstanding achievements of our gymnasts have brought pride and acclaim to Telangana, showcasing the immense talent and dedication prevalent in our state’s sporting community.

In recognition of their stellar accomplishments, the Director of Sports, Dr. K. Lakshmi IAS, extended heartfelt congratulations to the medal winners. Accompanying her were esteemed personalities including Smt. Anuradha, Administrative Officer, Smt. S. Dhanalaxmi, Deputy Director, Sri G. Ravinder, Deputy Director, and Sri A. Someshwar, General Secretary of the Telangana Gymnastics Association.
