The Government of Telangana (Hyderabad), under the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), has officially announced the list of general holidays from July to December 2023. SHAHADAT IMAM HUSSAIN (R.A) 10th MOHARAM – 29.07.2023 – SATURDAY
The second half of 2023 starts with a solemn occasion for the Muslim community as the state observes the Shahadat Imam Hussain (R.A) on the 10th day of Moharam. This day marks the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (R.A), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and holds immense religious importance.
INDEPENDENCE DAY – 15.08.2023 – TUESDAY
On 15th August 2023, the nation celebrates its 77th Independence Day. It is a day of patriotism and unity as citizens across Telangana join the rest of India in commemorating the freedom struggle and paying homage to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence.
SRI KRISHNA ASTAMI (as per Srivaishnava Agamam) – 07.09.2023 – THURSDAY
September brings with it the joyous occasion of Sri Krishna Astami, celebrated as per the Srivaishnava Agamam tradition. Devotees observe fasting and engage in various festivities to honor the birth of Lord Krishna, a beloved deity in Hindu mythology.
VINAYAKA CHAVITHI – 18.09.2023 – MONDAY
The month of September continues with the grand celebration of Vinayaka Chavithi, also known as Ganesh Chaturthi. People come together to worship Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed God, seeking his blessings for prosperity and success.
EID MILADUN NABI – 28.09.2023 – THURSDAY

FOLLOWING DAY OF VIJAYA DASAMI – 25.10.2023 – WEDNESDAY
