Telangana Marks Christmas with Religious Fervor and Traditional Joyful Celebrations
Major congregations in the city were held at St John's Church, St Mary's Church, All Saints Church and Millennium Methodist Church in Secunderabad.
Hyderabad: Christmas, commemorating the birth of Lord Jesus Christ , was celebrated in Telangana with religious fervour and traditional gaiety on Monday.
The largest gathering in the state was reported at the world-famous Church of South India in Medak, where the faithful attended the early morning Mass. Hundreds of people from the Telangana region attended the prayers at the CSI Church.
Major congregations in the city were held at St John’s Church, St Mary’s Church, All Saints Church and Millennium Methodist Church in Secunderabad.
Christians thronged the churches right from the morning. Carols were sung, greetings were exchanged, and the mood was joyous all over.
Shops selling cakes and decorative items did brisk business.
Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy extended their Christmas greetings to the people of the state.
