Strict Security Measures for Shri Ram Navami Showba Yatra
Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, CV Anand, provided important directives to the event organizers, including a ban on the use of DJ systems, urging them to opt for regular sound systems instead. Additionally, he emphasized that no speeches or songs that could offend other communities should be included during the procession.

The Hyderabad City Police, along with special police teams, are preparing to deploy 20,000 police officers for security during the Shri Ram Navami procession. The police have also initiated a comprehensive surveillance system, including coordination with the SHE Team and CCS police to monitor the activities of potential criminals. Commissioner Anand reassured that the police are taking every possible measure to ensure the safety of the public and maintain order throughout the procession.
Shri Ram Navami: A Historic Event in Hyderabad
The Shri Ram Navami Showba Yatra, which began in 2010, has gained immense popularity across the country over the years. The procession will start from Seetarambagh and conclude at Hanuman Vyayamshala, covering significant areas of the city. Commissioner Anand urged the organizers to ensure that the procession begins by 1 PM, considering past experiences and narrow paths along the route that can cause difficulties for large vehicles.

To ensure smooth execution, the organizers have been instructed to conduct trial runs with vehicles before the event. Furthermore, drone surveillance will also be utilized for enhanced security during the procession, and anyone interested in using drones must seek prior permission from local police to avoid any disruptions.
Collaboration Among Government and Security Agencies
A joint control room will be set up at the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) to monitor the procession’s progress. Officials from various government departments have been urged to take necessary actions to ensure the procession takes place without any issues. Security arrangements will be particularly enhanced at crucial junctions and areas along the route, with CCTV cameras providing continuous surveillance.
Essential Arrangements by GHMC and Other Authorities
The GHMC Additional Commissioner mentioned that all necessary arrangements, including road repairs, street lighting, and other essential services, are being undertaken. All departments involved in the procession, including fire services, transport, RTC, and water supply, have been given instructions to ensure that devotees face no inconvenience during the event.
Inspection of the Procession Route
Following the coordination meeting, officials including Police Commissioner CV Anand, GHMC Additional Commissioner Raghuprasad, and other key department representatives inspected the route of the procession. The procession will begin at Mangal Haat, passing through significant landmarks like Puranapool Gandhi Statue, Jummaath Market, Siddiamber Market, Afzal Gunj, Gouliguda, Kotthi Andhra Bank Chowrasta, and concluding at Hanuman Vyayamshala ground.
Key Officials Present at the Meeting
The inspection and meeting were attended by several key officials, including Vikram Singh Man, Additional CP (Law & Order); Joel Davis, Joint CP (Traffic); G. Chandra Mohan, DCP South West Zone; B. Balaswamy, DCP East Zone; Bhagwant Rao, Secretary of Bhagyanagar Utsav Committee; and several other senior police and GHMC officials.
The coordination and meticulous planning by the authorities are aimed at ensuring that the Shri Ram Navami Showba Yatra proceeds peacefully, while maintaining law and order across the city.
