Authorities quickly responded by halting power generation and confirmed a technical fault in Unit No. 7. Repair work is underway, but complete details of the incident are yet to be disclosed.

Meanwhile, after a decrease in flood levels in the Srisailam reservoir, six gates of the dam have been raised by 10 feet, and water discharge is ongoing. The project’s current inflow is 99,615 cusecs, with the water level at 883.50 feet, slightly below the full project level of 885 feet. Power generation in the right and left powerhouses continues as normal.
