Hyderabad: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced that the state government will launch the “Indiramma Bheema” insurance scheme across Telangana on June 2 as a State Formation Day gift. He said the scheme would provide protection to 1.15 crore families irrespective of caste, religion, or economic background and accused the previous BRS government of neglecting poor families and deceiving people in the name of welfare schemes.

Indiramma Bheema Scheme to Launch on June 2
Speaking in Hyderabad on Saturday, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the people’s government in Telangana is fulfilling every promise made during the elections and delivering welfare benefits directly to poor families.
He announced that the “Indiramma Bheema” scheme will officially be launched statewide on June 2.
According to the Deputy Chief Minister, the insurance scheme will work as a protective shield for 1.15 crore families across Telangana without discrimination based on caste, religion, or economic status.
Rs 5 Lakh Insurance Coverage for Families
Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka criticised the previous government and alleged that families of farmers who died by suicide had struggled even to receive minimal financial support.
To prevent such situations in the future, the government has decided to provide Rs 5 lakh insurance coverage to every family that loses its head due to an accident.
He stated that officials would soon visit every household to collect details related to the implementation of the scheme.
Solar Power Plant Scheme for Women SHGs from May 27
The Deputy Chief Minister said the government’s aim is not only to treat women as beneficiaries but also to transform them into entrepreneurs.
As part of this initiative, the government will launch a scheme to allot solar power plants to women self-help groups across Telangana.
The programme will be launched on May 27 at Rajupalem Village in Errupalem mandal of Madhira constituency.
Telangana Govt Providing Rs 20,000 Crore Interest-Free Loans
Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the government is currently providing interest-free loans worth Rs 20,000 crore every year to women’s groups.
He added that the amount would be increased up to Rs 1 lakh crore if necessary.
550 Special RTC Buses for Women Entrepreneurs
The Deputy Chief Minister said women are already travelling free in RTC buses across Telangana.
He announced that 550 special RTC buses would soon be allocated exclusively for women entrepreneurs.
According to him, the government aims to make one crore women millionaires in the state.
Free Fine Rice for 1.06 Crore Families
Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the Telangana government is the only government providing premium fine rice free of cost to people.
He said the rice, which costs Rs 50 to Rs 55 per kilogram in the market, is being distributed free to 1.06 crore families in the state.
Gruhajyothi Scheme Benefiting 53 Lakh Families
The Deputy Chief Minister said that under the Gruhajyothi scheme, the government is providing free electricity up to 200 units across Telangana.
He stated that the scheme has reduced the electricity bill burden for 53 lakh families.
According to him, nearly 95 percent of people in many villages are receiving “zero” electricity bills.
Bhatti Targets Previous BRS Government Over Housing
Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that the previous BRS government deceived people for ten years in the name of double-bedroom houses.
He said the present government is providing Rs 5 lakh financial assistance to every poor family for constructing their own house.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that 4.5 lakh houses have already been sanctioned across Telangana.
He also announced that the State Cabinet recently approved an additional 2 lakh houses.
According to him, making Telangana a hut-free state is the government’s top priority.
