The boy, delighted by the gesture, shared that the incident had gained attention among his friends and the madrasa community. In another instance, District Collector Divya S Ayyar reciprocated a hug and kiss on the cheek from a young girl during a ‘Milad E Sherif’ celebration in Pathanamthitta.

The Muslim community in Kerala marked the occasion with various festivities, including sweet distributions, cultural events, and processions across the state.
