Colorado: During a visit to the Air Force Academy in Colorado, President Joe Biden stumbled and fell after tripping over an obstacle on stage. Despite the incident, he appeared to be unharmed and even made a lighthearted joke about it later.
The fall occurred after he had delivered a commencement address and was returning to his seat after shaking hands with a cadet. Air Force personnel helped him get back up, and he did not require further assistance.
Biden pointed out the object that caused him to trip, which resembled a small black sandbag on the stage. White House Communications Director Ben LaBolt confirmed that Biden was fine and explained that there was a sandbag on the stage during the handshake.
Later, while returning to the White House on Air Force One and Marine One, Biden had another unfortunate incident when he bumped his head while exiting the helicopter. However, he showed no signs of injury as he walked across the South Lawn and jokingly told reporters that he “got sandbagged.”
It’s worth noting that Biden, who is currently 80 years old, is the oldest person to hold the presidency and is running for a second term in the 2024 election. His official doctor’s report earlier this year declared him physically fit, and he maintains a regular exercise routine.
Additionally, in November 2020, shortly after winning the election against then-incumbent Donald Trump, Biden broke his foot while playing with a pet dog.
