USA Dominates International Arena Polo Championship 2024, Defeats India in Final Match

Hyderabad: The International Arena Polo Championship 2024 concluded on a thrilling note with Team USA-1 clinching victory against India in a fiercely contested final match. The event, hosted at the Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club (HPRC) from the 4th to the 10th of March, witnessed exceptional skill and sportsmanship from teams around the globe.

In a gripping showdown, USA Team-1 triumphed over their Indian counterparts with a commanding score of 15-08, showcasing their dominance throughout the game. The match unfolded in three intense chukkers, with USA gradually building their lead.

The first chukker set the tone for the game, with USA edging ahead at 3-2. They continued to assert their superiority in the second chukker, widening the gap to 9-4. Despite a spirited effort from India in the third chukker, USA maintained their composure and secured victory with a final score of 15-08.

Key players from both teams displayed exceptional prowess on the field. Mr. Sloan Stefankis and Mr. Jake Klentner led the charge for USA Team-1, each contributing 7 goals to their team’s victory. Ms. Megan Flynn added a crucial goal to the tally, solidifying their lead.

On the Indian side, Kaushik Kumar showcased his skill with 5 goals, while Yusuf Azmi contributed 3 goals to India’s effort.

In the closing ceremony, Sri. Sunil Saraf, Chairman of the Radha Group, and H.E. Ms. Jennifer Larson, Consul General of the USA Consulate in Hyderabad, presented the International Arena Polo Championship Winners Trophy to USA Team-1. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries including Mr. Snehil Saraf, CEO of Radha Group, Sri. Chaitanya Rajendra Kumar, President, and Sri. Kunwar Sai Vijender Singh, Vice President of HPRC.

Adding to the celebrations, Vishal Kunwar Singh was honored as the Best Player in Hyderabad, further highlighting the exceptional talent showcased throughout the tournament.
