Watch: IB official dies after accidental fall ahead of VP’s visit in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: An Intelligence Bureau official died after an accidental fall at the Shilpakala Vedika in Madhapur on Wednesday afternoon. He was in the city as part of security arrangements ahead of Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu’s visit later this week,

51-yr-old, Kumar Amiresh, a native of Patna in Bihar, was working as Assistant Director with the Intelligence Bureau in Hyderabad. He was on Advance Security Liaisoning duty at the venue where Vice-President will be attending a book release.

According to Madhapur Inspector P Ravindra Prasad, he along with the officials of the Intelligence Security Wing and Intelligence Bureau came to review the security measures. He was taking photographs of the auditorium when he accidentally slipped into the maintenance area in front of the stage. He sustained a serious head injury and was rushed to a private hospital, where he succumbed to injuries in the evening. Telangana Today reported.
