Akshay Kumar Responds to the Controversy
On Thursday, Akshay attended the grand trailer release event in New Delhi. When asked about his use of an offensive word in the film’s trailer, he responded emotionally, saying:

“Haan maine yeh word use kiya. Lekin voh jo word use kiya tha (for Indians in the trailer) ‘You are still a slave!’- that was not a gaali for you? I think usse bade gaali aur kuchh ho nahi sakti. I would have been happy if you had said something about using the word ‘slave’ rather than you talking about me saying ‘F**k You’. Mere hisaab se agar aise time pe hum logon ne goli bhi maar di hoti na toh bhi chhota rehta.”
The Khiladi Kumar was visibly emotional, even wiping away his tears while addressing the media.
The Controversial Courtroom Scene
In the film’s trailer, Akshay Kumar, playing C. Sankaran Nair, delivers a powerful courtroom dialogue. When a British official declares:
“You are still a slave to the British Empire.”
Akshay’s character responds with two fearless words, ‘F**k You’, signifying his defiant stand against oppression.
The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre Confrontation
The trailer also features an intense exchange between Akshay’s character and General Dyer, where he questions:
“How did you warn the crowd at Jallianwala Bagh to disperse? Did you use tear gas? Did you fire shots in the air? Or did you simply open fire without any warning?”
To which General Dyer defends his actions, stating:
“They were not just a crowd; they were terrorists.”
Akshay fiercely counters:
“But they were human beings! Babies as young as eight or nine months were shot in the chest with bullets. What weapons did they have?”

“Kesari Chapter 2” is inspired by real-life events and explores the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The story follows C. Sankaran Nair, a lawyer and former President of the Indian National Congress, in his relentless pursuit of justice.
