Salesman turns out to be crorepati

Ujjain: Undeclared assets – including land and jewellery – worth crores were unearthed on Tuesday during EOW (Economic Offence Wing) raids on a Dhokhakoi Cooperative Committee salesman’s three premises near Dewas district’s Kannod.

“The accused Govind Baagwaan commenced his career with remuneration of Rs 500 and presently receives a monthly salary of Rs 18,000″. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ajay Kaithwas said.

“The property is in the names of his sons. The salesman had fake PAN and identity cards made for siphoning off loans ‘issued’ to indigent peasants,” Ajay Kaithwas said.
